1985 Stock ATC250R

My friend has an 85 stock atc250r and i bet him that it won't go over 75 he says it will go 94 mphs. This bike has the same piston it had in 1985 totally stock. what do yall think. i think i'm right it won't go over 75 mphs thats freakin the speed down the interstate. lol iono what do ya think?

stock they will go 78, most will actually go 70-75 tops stock. I don't know how fast mine goes, but it has 14/38 gearing, 38 a/s, v-force reeds, esr atc5 pipe, cr 250 ignition, lrd 310 pv and suspension and handling parts to match the motor. I have no idea how fast it goes, but I know its fast.
I don't think I've ever had it in 5th recently(as I do mostly mx), when I had it setup for xc(stockish and with a stock 85 motor, but fmf pipe, 38 a/s and v-force reeds) I could pass a ds650 wide open without much problem.

your friend and my friend should hook up and we should give them a quadzilla, they might get that thing up to 312mph!!!!!:eek:

I'm told the quad does 67 mph, 86/87 stock, a 88/89 is a bit slower top end, but accelerates faster and has a 6th gear you can actaully use, where the 86/87 6th is a overdrive
