Need a little help. I have an 03 400ex bored to a 440
11:2 to 1 Ross Piston, Stage 1 Web Cam, Big Gun rev box,
stock headpipe (welds ground out) and a White Bros. R4 muffler.
I am running a 165 mainjet and a 42 pilot jet, aluminum airbox no lid.
I just got a stock carb that is bored out from stock size 35m to 37.5 and was wondering what jets I should run. I live in CA roughly 300ft above sea level.

Appreciate any help

i would try one step richer on the main and raise the needle up in the clip one notch.that should give you a baseline..you have a slightly bigger carb but that doesnt mean the engine is gonna use more fuel, therefore i wouldnt go too big on the main.you'll probably notice a lil'mo pull in the mid to upper mid thats wghu i suggested goping richer on the needle.hope this helps:)

Well, i'm gonna get a few jets and mess with it. With a 165 main an 42 pilot she starts and runs o.k., but lean. The plug is grayish and in neutral when you thumb the throttle or rap it out it doesn't smoke at all. Before it would puff just a hair.

if these are keihin jets, make sure the needle clip is down one from stock (4th position from the top)
