Rattling canning parts works too, If you have access to some aluminum and a welder you could make some trick frame guards, Just stuff like that. I plan on painting some designs on my plastic with the new krylon plastic paint

Polishing definatelly. The guy who had my buddies CR250 before he did took off all the plastics, and polished the frame (its an aluminum frame), looks trick as hell!

This took me about 4-5 hours of sanding and buffing by hand, but I think it was well worth it. Sorry the pic is a little blurry.

Yes because i dont care how much you polish something when you take a picture the picture does not do it justice u have to see it in person.

ya it would look better in person becasue that kids camera sucks....
and that exhaust doesnt look polished becuase its got a natural rouch finish, to get any exhaust silencer to a mirror would take way more sanding and buffing than its worth.

That second picture I posted was the UNPOLISHED before, this is after I spent a while sanding and buffing. It's polished enough that you can see the reflection of me taking the picture, if you don't call that shiny then I don't know what is.

Has anyone ever polished the head shield (400ex). I just did mine, and its getting pretty decent, just will take more time. After awhile the parts will start to look good, and at least for me anyway, youll start to get sick of constant rubbing with steel wool or whatever.:p

So i just come back the next day and hit it till it gets mirror. Im just not that patient I guess.

You can also do your rear brake lever, shifter, but of course they are steel so you will have to spray clear coat on them so they dont rust so quick.

Of course you can do your starter cover, oil filter cover, hell even the side cases of your motor, but that will take time. They can all look awesome though because its aluminum.
Honda never shouldve painted it, just left the aluminum shiny.
