Hey guys, I need some help here.

I am 14 years old and want to start racing MX on my honda 400ex. Now, the AMA says you have to be 16 or older to race any quad 90cc or above....

I could easily understand that, but there's just one problem...

I'm 6'3'' 250lbs and they want me to ride a 90?????

Is there ANYTHING I can do to race my 400ex...or am I screwed and have to wait 2 more years? I really don't want to....that would suck so bad...by then I probably would loose interest in it. What can I do?

Many tracks don't check to verify your age. I wouldnt reccomend it but it has to do with where you live basically and how strictly your district follows the rules.

I'm sure you'd be able to race, I don't think they'd check to see if you're 16 or not when you're 6'3" and 250lbs.

Here in Wisconsin I raced my 400ex last year when I was still 15, it was even on my AMA card and I was never checked for age or anything.

Well I COULD race in the 13-15 class which is 200 2 stroke and 300 4 stroke...only problem is...I don't have a 300ex and unless it was modded to the max, I don't really want one...I'd much rather keep my 400.....but that's about all I think I could do.

That's bull. It should go buy your size, not your quads size.

You could race some CRA races. They dont care as long as your parents sign the waiver. There mostly in eastern ohio but there are a couple tracks in pa.
