39 FCR carb

Can anyone tell me if I bought a carb off EBAY 39 FCR would the 400ex cable and air boots work. Or would modification be required?

the fcr 39 would need to be for the 400ex. i think the ones for the z400's fit too, but i am not sure. you would need another throttle cable. the 450r or yfz450 cables both work and aren't too expensive. if the rear bellow on the carb is too short, you can unscrew it and get the one made for the 400ex. the air boots will fit. it may be snug, thus you might have to boil the boot so it expands and then the carb will fit right on.

you mean the yfz carb will not work? whats the difference between the 400ex fcr 39mm and a yfz fcr 39mm?
