Pappy

After being the very first exrider.com member to send me a frame to powdercoat, I figured after 3 years it was time to give his dated quad a new look.

Pappy
03-27-2005, 12:23 PM
The stock fenders were ditched to make room for the new style maier, which im happy to report fit perfectly

Pappy
03-27-2005, 12:25 PM
The stock pipe was retained so as too keep the neighbors happy

Pappy
03-27-2005, 12:27 PM
Green was chosen to give his quad a 1 off look that not many people have.

The remainder of the parts were done in a textured satin black

Pappy

After big problems with another manufacture, Tommy turned to Burgard Cycle to get him out of a jam. new Burgard LT arms were installed to fit Tommy's 18 3/4 inch elkas.

Pappy

All that is needed is a color corresponding graphics kit to help tie in the frame and fender color and she should be looking pretty sweet

Pappy

I cant say enough about how well the maier fenders fit. I have been hard on maier over the years but I am completely happy with this set.

I like the aim to keep the color scheme different than most. Quad looks real nice. Tommy....PSU is soon letting us go for the summmer....time to ride.

witout sun, the frame looks kinda plain, but in the sun she is different then most people would ever suspect

i can't say enouf about the guys at BK performance for helping me out... ever since pappy did the 1st frame 3 years ago i've been treated beyond good... they've always helped me out and have always went beyond what they should have so i could ride...

the 1st frame pappy did for me was done in cherry drop red and i was amazed at how good that frame held up to the abuse i put it threw... after 3 years of beating it in the dirt the frame looked as new as the day i got it back from pappy... i'll post some before and after pictures of that frame to show how well it did hold up...

I went to pappy towards the end of last year with a quad that was unrideable... i had major problems with another chassis builder who basically told me to get lost when i had a problem with his a-arms falling apart... pappy and burgard were the only guys out there willing to help me and get me riding again... they custom built me a-arms and a unbelievable price just so i could ride again... now thats service! if it wasn't for either of them i'd still be sittin here with a-arms that didn't work...

the 400 isn't done in these pictures... i'm goin to get custom graphics made, handguards, and a pipe for it... i just have to wait till i get a lil bit more cash with college...

i can't thank you enouf pappy for all that u did with the 406! i'm so happy with the way it turned out and i can't wait till i see it next weekend...

btw heres a picture of the 1st frame when it was new

Tommy, I'd check out that Yoshi pipe that 300exrida was talking about. A friend of mine has the HMF with the quiet core and spark arrestor in and it's still pretty loud, so I'd try to find out more about the Yoshi pipe first.

The color scheme on your EX looks hella' nice.:D

Very nice. I do like the origional look. But i think if you add a little chrome to it somewhere and definately add a graphics kit. it should be sweet!

dirt momma i'm goin to keep the seat... i have 2 full seats now because i'm goin to run 2 sets of plastic... when its really muddy and bad out at the races or when i go to coal piles i don't want to run my new fenders...

the best place to find that cover is on ebay... i see them on there all the time!

Yeah even with the quite core HMF's are still pretty loud. Mine on my grizzly with a quite core was pretty loud. Get a e seires there not that loud mine on my z with 10 dics isn't very loud at all. It gives it alittle bit of a rumble. Nice rebuikld it looks good. I think if you got black plastic it would look even better!
