parts cross over

Does any one out there have a list or knowledge of what parts from other honda models will fit a 86 250r. It is still stock. I am in iraq and purchased it through a friend at home. So i am trying to build it up before i get home to ride it.

you can use the motor and whole *** end from any 85-86 ATC 250R, 86 is all the same but to run 85 swinger means you have to run the carrier,break-stay etc, the atc rear master cyls wont work w/o a custom mount tho

most of the other trx R's parts will swap out except the footpegs and swinger(unless the frames modded for the rear motormount), the a arm's from 86 will fit other yrs but not vice-versa w/o modding the bushings.The front spindles and hubs need to be of the same yrs..88-89 rotors have a 3 bolt pattern while 86-87 have 4, I think the seat mounts are diffrent also, Im sure some of the other guys will know what else swaps out and what dont

86/87 trx pegs will work on a 86 atc 250r, not a 85. Thats how I'm using roll pegs on my atc250r. If you grind the mounting holes in the trx foot peg plate they will work on a atc(gotta oval the holes abit).
