Woo Hoo.. Got My First Truck!

Yes ladies and gentlemen. Its not the fastest or best looking. But as of tomorrow I will be the proud owner of a 1996 Ford Ranger XL 4x4!
Man I am so happy.. My sister gave me this nice geo storm for my fifteenth b-day to start me out.. The car sat in my driveway till last thursday. Right before I was about to get insurance on it.. I was just like. No.. I have a quad. Screw this.. So I sold the car. And yestarday I slipped the people that had the truck A benny ($100 dollar bill). I gota get some money out of the bank. But i'll have pics of it up soon!

Newayz, Sweet man, I Have a 2001 Ranger 4.0 4x4. If yours has the 4.0 in it, prepare for the worst gas milage EVER! I get 13 miles to the gallon with my Pu$$y foot father driving, i cant imagine what the MPG is like now...and to top it off, i just put 33's on it! If you want me to post a pic I can...But alot of ppl have seen it so i'll only post it if you ask!

No its a four banger.. whatever size that is. It gets 20mpg and I already ordered spinners and an air bag system for my 4x4 that is purchased for hauling my quad :rolleyes: :scary:

congrats... i just got my first truck yesterday...it is a dark gray 2004 f-150 4x4 V8 5.4L... its a really nice truck... i like it a lot.. the only problem with it it its stock... for now... i recon in a few months... wheels, tires, exhaust.. bumper and winch... im wanting a 4" inch lift and i talked to my dad about it... i wanted a 6" but he thinks thats to much so we're just gettting a 4"... but thats still sweet... but i might not get that till this christmas.... im in no hurt to get it up there... ill have this truck for the next 5-6 years so...

nothing wrong w/ a ranger i own a 2002 xlt extended cab, 3.0 fully loaded, id like to have a bigger one but dont want to pay for the gas. oh, i pulled a dual axle trailer,w/ two quads a dirtbike, three gear bags the gas cans and three guys, no prob. really suprised me for a 3.0 i took a pick to send to dirt wheels let me try to get it on here.

a ranger is a mini-truck, if it was a truck it would be full size. that green chevy blazer isnt a truck either, its an suv. if its not full size its not a truck imo. just my opinion

Yeah thanks everyone! I just brought it home today. It runs GREAT! Nothing outstanding tho.. It is after all a 4 banger. It has 31 inch tires on it and hopefully i'll have pics of it and my quad together tomorrow!

Very nice choice BTW. Rangers are nice trucks, or mini-almost-but-not-quite-trucks according to bulkdriverlp.:p

Good gas mileage has turned from a nice "feature" to have to a necessity, at least for poor folks like me:scary: :ermm:

But anyways, good call on the truck man. Get some pics up soon.

I payed $2800 for it.. Its nice.. Nothing spectacular.. But definately beats a Geo Storm? right?.. And as far as a rangers size.. It is perfect for my uses.

WOW!!! 13MPG?!?! That's crazy:eek2: I get 13-14MPG in Chevy running 35's, what kinda of gearing do you have in that?

I'll be getting a 92 full sized bronco this summer. I'm rebuilding a 289 to put in it, but I think I'm gonna end up swapping in a 302. And there are some plans for this.

well uh...what the hell is it then? hell i consider an el comino a truck. its got 4 wheels...a bed...a tail gate...you can haul chit with it... yep, meets all the requirements for a truck except chitty balls gas mileage.

nice truck man! im rockin a 94 extended cab XLT soon to be sold for 80s model 4x4. i dont know why u get 13 mpg hell i get 24 driving the chit out of it...well...as hard as you can drive the little 3.0 i guess haha im gonna be cutting that in half when i move to my chevy. oh well i still have the CRX that gets 36 mpg driving it as hard as possible and almost 40 just puttin *** around:devil:
