I Can't wait to port this motor but for right now, I was beating every bike out in a pit somewhere in NJ today with 2 450r's right on my bumpers. the one 450r was beating everyone out there, I took his title away!

this 330 has everything my 265 was lacking on bottom end.
I did lose some over rev, but the 14/37 gearing made up for it.

next step is to resleeve the 330 cylinder and port it. I cant wait to see what it does them. for now its a bare cast port job on the 330. and its awesome.

Didn't think many people rode at Gliddens anymore. How often do you go there? I havn't been there in about 5 yrs

my firends have been going for about a month so far, cops arent allowed in there anymore because of something that hapened, not sure what but i think either they chased someone, they got hurt, and sued gliddens.

or a cop got hurt and they told them to stay out.

im not sure but its still a place for big boys to ride, you can get hurt there very easy if your not careful. these guys were there hitting 60foot cliff jumps. just nuts, and going up hills with about 15 feet straight up that they launch off and land on top.

Maybe I will have to try to get out there again. I always had a blast out there. Although I hear that the big hill that was there is now gone. If you don't mind me asking where did you park at. The spot I use to park I hear is now a golf course

Have you had any experience witht he 310 kits? i was planning on going to a 310 or 330 when i'm do for a resleeve. Just wondering if the difference is adequate for the extra money it takes to go 330 instead of 310? what kind of headpipe are you runnin witht the 330?

the 310 is really a 300 or 295 i forget.

the real 330 has to have the cases machine to fit the sleeve in. they have a non machine case 330 but the sleeve is thin

the 330 def has mroe low end

im running a curtis sparks tt pipe, but was told if i got a curtis sparks big bore tt pipe ill get alot more bottom end, same top though

ya and the thing is, its the cast port job from pro =x. ct just etched there name in it. but im sure i can make that CT into a BWR etching it fairly easy. Once i port this ill be 3-5 bike lengths in front of them, I also raced a worked yfz and spanked it. a worked banshee too. i had no problem racing anyone there, I was in front on the start and at the end. GOD KNOWS what it would be like if i Started in third from the start.... but im still getting used to the gearing and power to take full advantage of it..

That sounds like one hell of a quad you got there. What is the deal on the KTM 320 stroker you have listed in your sig. It sounds interesting.

itsa a motor im in the works of building, its my stock fully ported b+b cylinder that im going to run either a ktm piston or 86 or 88 piston in with a +3 250r(stock rod ktm) rod. this rod fits the stock crank pin+ bearing of a 250r, so they dont use smaller crank pins and sleeves to make a stroker like others do. it will be releeved to fit the ktm piston or big bore 250r piston, style im not sure of yet but will know once the crank will be trued and balanced with the ktm rod

just wondering, why did you go with a 330 rather than a 330 or 350 powervalve setup?

beerock
04-03-2005, 09:02 AM
I dont need any more extra bottom end, the 330 is enough over my old 265. besides my riding style is holding it WOT and then off the throttle.
also, this motor was readily availible and needed a few things. It has a brand new 86 tranny in it, all new bearings and seals. the top end had about 5 hours on a fresh bore. I checked the piston to cyl wall gap and it was right on.It had the WRONG clutch in it I figured this out because the clutch actuating rod had no playwhen released this took me about 2 days to figure out. When i took my B+B 265 apart i noticed the clutch plates were THINNER on the new motor, thus giving no play for the clutch rod. I had to order all oem plates and fibers. Also, it helps that i got the motor for a great prics, 800 bux. thats not including my quick change clutch cover or the new clutch i bought, but a hell of a deal.

it was great that it had powdercoated cases BUT, the infamous 2R's did them, or gave them to someone to do. I bought the motor knowing he did it and figured there would be no problem. BUT! there were two problems 1. the inside of the cases were sand blasted which is not good because the oil sticks to the side more. I fixed this by using a tad mroe oil, but nevertheless not perfect. 2 i had to chase all the threads for the clutch cover and stator cover. this sucked because i had the clutch cover inplace with the gasket and screwed in the bolts and 3/4 in they all got tight. so i had to take off the cover and chase all the threads.

Once i fixed the problems i got this ****** in and it started on the first kick. took about a half hour to put in by myself. with a little help from exrider44 he was cleaning off the rust on my curtis sparks TT pipe.(Note to self-get the pipe chromed) when that pipe sits around with no wd40 on it ,it rusts. that will be fixed once its chromed

Its probably 20 minutes south of Bridgeton/ 30 minutes west of Millville. It was an old sand plant outside of Cedarville. Those pics are probably from 01, last time I was there those hills weren't quite as tall as they look in the pics.

Did you balance the crank against the larger piston? How's the vibration?

I kind of did answer your question. I think your thinkin about my b+B stroker. I didnt do that yet, that motor will be balanced. the crank in the 330 is oem honda 88. i did not balance it, but there is NO vibration.
