How many of you have put the HRC Cam in and had to put new shimms in. I am going to order the HRC Cam I want to know if i have to order shimms too which I hope I wont.

there is no way to know if you will need the shims untill you put the new cam in and ckeck the clearances with a feeler gauge, every motor is different, make sure you ck the decompression lever clearance also when your in there.

Neither me or my buddy had to reshim at time of install. After 6 races and lots of hrs. of practice I had to reshim.

where do you get shims from? do you buy the whole kit or just what you need?

You can either figure out what ones you need and buy them separately or Hotcams sells a kit with all the sizes.
