being that you are only 16, I don't suggest getting the brute force or the raptor. A 400 or 450 would suit your needs just fine. If it is a 4 x 4 you want, that brute force is big and heavy and will crush you like a grape if it ever gets away from you. I would look at something a little more tame if it were me. How about a vinson or eiger, or a rubicon. Good luck

But then again Ken he could be a 6'5" 240lb 16 year old?? :macho

How long have you been riding and what kind of experience do you have EzZ? Also what kind of riding do you wanna do? IMO- If I was 16? I would go with The Honda EX400! Its a GREAT all around quad and can be picked up cheap. Mater a fact You could probity even buy two used ones for what one New Brute would cost? The EX is a good starter But hard to out grow! The quad and can hang with just about anything in the woods, There are tons of aftermarket parts for it, And IMO is a Better choice over a Raptor.
If you really want a 4x4 the Rancher or Rubicon make great starters, But if you have experience riding you cant go wrong with a 650-700 Prairie if you really want a Utility quad? But I think someone 16 years old on a limited budget? would have BIG FUN on the EX400. ;) ~coop

You wont lose speed with the 4x4 i have an 03 prairie and it will smoke blasters and 300ex like nothin i never raced a 400 ex. the prairie 650 has insane ammounts of power and you could go through anything.

If i were you guys i would go with a 400cc - 450cc.. 660 is more for speed and not really meant for trails.. If i was in that sutuation i would concider buying a 400 or 450.. they are more trail worthy and i think that a 450 would be just as good as any other quad.

age has very little to do with it. its all exp. when i was 15, i had a 660 rappy and it bored me. i sold it, and got my banshee. now im selling it, and im still only 17. ive been riding since i was 4, and can out ride a good bit of grown ups (not bragging, just speaking on what grown-ups say and the results at tracks). oh and im only 130 lbs, so im not exactly a fat kid:)

The thing with that age is not the "experience" it's the abundance of this little thing we call "testosterone" that can make you do stupid things sometimes. :D

you will be satified with the 400 or 450, the rappy's can flip easily because of sitting too tall (to me), but if you want a 4x4, get the rubicon, P700, or the rincon, those are all great choices

get a grizzly or a rubicon or rincon if you are in a lot of mud. all of those are good 4x4 quads. but if u do a lot of fast trail riding then get a 400ex or a modded 300ex.
