I dont get it, my 400ex sat pretty much all winter in my garage. When I go to take it out, it constantly pours gas out the overflow tube whether its running or shut off. I cleaned the carb twice, just put in a brand spank'n new float need, 155 main and 42 pilot (it needed to be jetted anyway). well it worked for a minute but then it just started pouring out gas AGAIN:mad: So do I need to have the valve seat replaced? If so how much is that? I really dont understand how this could happen.

Also I can access the carb without taking the tank and front plastic off, but how is the throttle cable removed?

nevermind about the cable i got that off, so now i have the whole carb off. i'm contemplating soaking the entire thing in the bucket of carb cleaner, but why waste my time? i should just have a new valve seat pressed in:o

Are you sure your bowl drain screw is tightened all the way?

Sorry, I had to ask cause some people actually mistake it for the air/fuel mixture screw.

just keep cleaning it, it does not take hardly anything to keep the float needle from not seating. i had this problem a lot when i had my 400, also clean out your gas tank there may be crap in that too.
