Yea Im buying a 1999 400ex cuz i just sold my 300, and it says it has a 11:1 compression piston. Does this mean I cant run tegular unleaded pump gas, or do I have to run a higher grade gas? Thanks

i WOULD SAY 91-92 PUMP GAS

Atleast super and if it pings go 1/2 racegas.

just run premeium youll be fine i run 11:1 in my 416 and it runs fine on premeium (93 octane) and if you need alittle more power you can run half race gas and youll feel alittle difference (havce better trottle response because itll be runnin "hotter")
