people said that it wouldnt start easily, mine fired right up. it feels alittle faster, i also got some OMF scoops. they are pretty sweet. oh ya, the WB rev box doesnt fit the rubber holder that well, i have duct tape on it but is there another way to do this so it will be more secure. thanks

on our batteries that are a few years old, none of our 400ex's will start. i am not sure what the temperatue is there either, but the colder it gets, the harder it is to start. all i can say is good luck with that thing.

For you guys that want to get one, here is a cheaper way to do it. The cdi box is a cdi box for a xr250r(96-03), I'm told you can even see a part number scaped away on them, thats what I was told by a few people.

Use a plastic zip tie to secure your rev box to your frame

I have had my WB rev box for a few years now with zero problems from it.

For 3-4x the price! I think we all would if we could afford it.

well what is everyone's recommendations for a rev box??? I HATE the stock redline and would really like an advanced fuel/spark curve.

i wouldnt doubt if most of these aftermarket cdi boxes are the xr cdi with the numbers scraped off.put a TC or WB sticker on it and the gullible atv guys will buy anything..suckers.:)

i had the WB. When i worked it was great. Almost missed a few races when it would not start at the track, good thing someone had jumper cables. i finally gave up on it and got a BIG GUN. This one works awsome no trouble starting even in cold teens weather. The WB is great once the bike is warmed up. Mine finaly got to where it would not even start wiith a battery charger hooked up. m hope you have better luck.

for the price, i recommend the gt thunder boxes. i hear the big gun and TC boxes are fine too. i run the aggressive curve gt thunder box and the idle is a bit irratic. the less aggresive curve box idles good and i would recommend this box to some one that wants one that will idle like stock. either gt thunder box will start in winter though. there hasn't been a time either of our 400ex's didnt' start with either gt thunder box.

the best box made, as far as performance, should be the msd. behind that should be the vortex and the dyna. it just depends on how much you want to pay for a rev box.

the sparks box is just like the WB, junk in my opinion. i have been that route once and won't go back.

With the Big Gun Rev Limiter does anyone know what their "more aggressive advance curve " is? What is the difference from stock?

I couldn't find anything on their web site.

Is anyone running it...and if so...any issues with hard starting?

Can you describe the difference between the BG and the stock unit. Is it noticable difference?
