hey man that is a good car of you want something that looks fast, but most likely isn't very fast. don't compare ricers "the new thing" to yfz and trx 450's, the quads are fast and cool, and the ricers just try to look fast.

i will admit he has put every last pay check in the car from the time hes got it....the bomex body kit, c/f invader hood, teardrop mirrors, flowmaster exhaust, intake, redone the interrior, the lambo doors, wing....the only thing that came on the car were the wings and the c/f euros...and hes still not done with it yet...hes gonna targa the top on it, and air bag it...etc...too much stuff to go on listing

a ricer is a foreign car from asia that has been modded with nothing but body parts and no engine parts and for the most part are pointless unless you want good gas mileage. I personally dont like them, but thats me. Congrats on gettin a car you like though man!! I wish I could get a car I want. I.E. the 2006 Ford Shelby GT 500 mustang. now thats a real car.

a ricer is more a mentality state than a car....

a ricer IMO is somebody who spends alot of money on an import car and thinks its the fastest thing since john force and can run every camaro, mustang, firebird, or any muscle car...

hooking a car up to look good but not go fast is different imo...and thats all my friend has done with his eclipse he dont try to race people, as a matter fact he backs down from races cuz its stupid...he just wants something that can turn heads...now dont get me wrong that car is a head turner no doubt...but what turns my head faster than anything is an old muscle car with a build engine...and a big lumpy cam....or a jacked up truck

hahahah, that is actually a website (laughatarice.com) that is so funny. I dont mind ricers but when the kids put those stupied exhaust that sound similar to my lawnmower on them they look ridiculious dirivng down the road. And no matter how cool one looks or how fast it is. Its still a ricer!

I know that alot of people on here dont like Imports, I am very impressed with this thread. ....
... it seemed like everytime sombody posted their new car that was an import or "ricer", the thread got WAY out of control and next thing you knew, people were being insulted and blah blah blah.

So I just wanted to say thank you for everybody's respect, thank you for the compliments, and for those of you who dont like it, sorry I didnt buy one you would have wanted to see... once again, thanks to everybody, this is a huge improvment to the last time i seen a import posted on here. !!!!

BTW... plans to upgrade engine soon...

Yep...dominated NASCAR alright...in a time when it was the only car with any money behind it. Everyone else was comin out of their shop at home to race against factory dodge.

youre a retard dude, even bone stock his eclise would prolly beat your 66 stang, and would def smoke your f150. sorry but its the truth. i dont even like ricers and iknow this. its old power verses new technology. i still feel there is no replacement for displacement, but think of how much power and how high reving these little 4 bangers are these days. the WRX STI is pushin 300hp and redlines. i watch my buddy in an 04 civic with like no mods take my other buddies 03 ford superduty and the superduty would walk your f150. i normally dont back ricers but i have to when your this wrong.

Anyone else find it ironic that he's from a place called "Olive Branch?" You know, as in peace, understanding and all that.

Anyways, I'm prejudiced against Eclipses a bit because there's two boneheads in my neighborhood with that bodystyle that are mechanically stock but with loud exhausts that just sound like total crap. At least, if it's going to be loud and bothersome, at least do it to a car that sounds nice!

That being said, I like yours a lot. I like the way the white wheels look with the blue. I don't like the wing, but that's just because it isn't my style. My old boss had one of the older Eclipses, about a '91 or so, with the turbo 4 cyl and 5-speed. That thing was fun as hell!

Thanks man! I have a set of white 18" 7-spoke rims I would have loved to put on this car, they would look sick, but they are on my Jetta which is 4-lug, so no go on the 18"s :( oh well, these rims are cool too!!!

This is the almighty 1968 Camaro of ours. Hell, I know for sure it's not the best. But it's got a motor (currently out of the car getting redone) and it get's me from point A to point B. I like his eclispe. It get's him from point A to point B just aswell as everyone else's car.. Nice buy man.
