300ex chain adjustment??

i recently bought a 99 300ex and got no paperwork with it. while i am wating for my shop manual in the mail, how do i tighten my chain?? thanks a million!!!

there is too bolts that sick out of the end of swing arm u lossen them then there a sliver thing with holes in it by ur sproket u stick a pipe in the hole and push it forward till u get it as tight as u want then u tighten the bolts up and ur good to go>>>>>

i can't get the thing inside my sprocket to move!! i even tapped it fairly hard with a mallet, it doesn't want to break loose. any suggestions appreciated....

wd40 if that dont work you have to ride for a little bit to get it to loosen up then try again

there is also a bolt on the bottom og the swing arm just below the other to u have to loosen it also. if it is the stock carrier use a flat head screw driver and put it between the sprocket into the notch. put ur quad in neutral and roll it it will tighten or loosen the chain depends on which way u roll it.
