How to mount the stock gear on a clutch basket

I just got a new stock clutch basket for my R and the gear was removed. it currently has the rivets in it and what is left of them are sticking out (of the gear side). So let me see if i have this straight; I need to drill out or do i punch out the rivets in the new basket? then, is there a special bolt with a low profile head that i need to use to install my old gear on the new basket? thanks all.

you can't mount the gear to a stock basket, it was probably taken off for use on a hinson basket. The gear is part of the basket and not reattachable.

no way! i just bought this basket for 45 bux. i hope the guy i bought it from will refund my $$ :(
