View Full Version : Using Dirtbike Kill switch for start switch

I dont use headlights or anything and my run switch dooesnt work i only use the start switch.its big and ugly so i was wondering if their is anyway to install a db kill switch for a clean look? What wires would i splice into? thanx

you would splice into the SEARCH wires, and then the SEARCH wires would tell you EXACTLY what to do

yea not hard at all i have an Aftermaret CR kill switch, make sure you dont get a stock one. you could use a stock honda kill switch but theres extra wires that need to be connected. all i did was locate the starter wires and cut out all the other wires then just splice it on. works really well and its easy

thats a very good mod i had to do it to mine because my flexx bars are to short,it makes it look alot cleaner too

haha yes they are that is my only complant so far with the flexx bars

i would use a yz type kill switch. It looks good, and it fits nicely. Just cut the wires from the stock starter and splice in the yz killswitch. You can wire a pro design kill switch into the stock slider kill switch, and cut the wires to the headlights to totally remove the stock switch cluster.

Could you hook up one just for starting your quad and another kill switch for the lights? Just wondering
