300 shock

ok i have a 300ex with a 350x rear swing arm what do i use for a shock i am going to be racing so it needs to be good and somthing othere than elka. like will a raptor shock work o what ? :confused:

use a 350x shock, i thik its rebuildable, so you can send it to derisi to get it rebuilt

A friend of mine did the same thing with the 350x swingarm on the 300ex and used the 350x shock rebuilt by works and it worked awesome for what it was. That is the way the 300ex should have been sold anyway with the longer swingarm IMO.:cool:

Ive got a few ?'s about this to. If i were to get a 350X shock, would it work with my stock swinger? and if i were to get the 350X swinger also, could i use the same axle, or would i have to buy a 350X axle. And if i bought the 350X axle, would my caliper, rotor, and rear sprocket still fit on that axle? And one more, would my rear brake line still extend far enough for it. Thanks

Well, on my old 300ex, we had a 350x swing arm (need spacers in to make sure the chain lines up), 300ex shock (needed to make link for it to work), 250R caliper & rotor (has better braking system then 350x but you still can use the 350x), and the 350x axle.

I have pm's several people about the 350X swingarm conversion for the 250X/300EX. I have a 350x axle, carrier and swingarm. There are just a few things that I can't find out the information for.

1. Can I use the stock carrier from my 250X with the 350X swingarm and axle? Is there a difference between the 85 350X carrier and the 86? Rad has a different model listed for the 85 (RADBC-H6) while the 86 carrier is also made for the 250X and 350X (RADBC-H7).

2. Will the rear brake mount work with the 350X carrier? I wouldn't mind using the 350X carrier, but I prefer the way the adjustment slots are on the 250X carrier and I want to use my 250X rear caliper.
