that is fake! you can tell by the url. if it was legit, it would also have a padlock in the tool bar in the bottom your screen. i wouldn't advise using the pad lock to tell if it was legit or not because some might even go as far as putting it there but if it isn't there,it is the easiest way to tell if it is fake.;)

Is it a link you followed from going to ebay.com? Getting a server name different than www isn't that uncommon. It is a FQDN and it is ebay.com. It would be hard to steal that like that. If you followed the link by going through ebay.com I would say it is legit.

its not real, stay away, and forward it to spoof@ebay.com

Well, Im not really positive, but I went and typed the ENTIRE URL into my address bar and it took me to an Ebay.com etc.... page. On that page there were 2 boxes for me to type in my user and password.

So based on that, Id say it's legit. But some of the points some of you made make sense, and would lead you to believe it's a scam.

Personally, I think you're ok, but Im not an Internet expert by any means, so maybe you're better off playing it safe and reporting the URL to ebay.

You know, if it smells fishy, then it's probably a fish..... unless, of course, well you know. STAY AWAY FROM IT:p

it is fake, Ebay's email address you by name, not by email address.

That's definitely a scam. I just changed my email address with eBay since I switched ISP's. I signed in and went to the home page. From there is a small "My eBay At A Glance" box with an "Update your account information" link. I clicked on that and selected the link for changing addresses. I entered my password and then typed in my new email address twice and then entered the security code they display. After that I got a confirmation email. NEVER will eBay or PayPal ask that you enter your CC information to update their records, etc.

Yea and they ask for your card number when signing up.

As far as the page, id say there is something fishy about it because when i changed my email i didnt have to put a card number, you only have to give a credit card on file when u sign up, not changing emails.

This really looks like a scam to me. I also changed my email address and was not asked for my c.c. number. Be careful there are a lot of ebay scammers out there. DO NOT use the link. Go to ebay.com and make the changes. That way you know it's not a scam.
