why does the gas come out the bottom of my 4 wheeler when i do wheelies? it comes out of the black small tube under the motor. i hate to waste gas, but i like doing a lot of wheelies and stuff like that. and how do i stop it from coming out and wasting gas? thaks

In a way, its not really wasting the gas. Its saving your engine from flooding it self.
I dont know of any way to stop it, but I dont really know if you should. Maybe someone else can help.

no it drains for a reason man. It doesnt waste that much gas anyway.

Mine wastes a chit load, you can follow me down the road by my gas trail, I wish I could figure out a way to atleast slow it down to a dribble instead of a steady stream.

If it didnt do that you couldnt do a long wheelie because your quad would flood out.

Its because your floats not sitting where it is suposed to is my understanding, and it would flood yoru motor out after a while.

Dont the z's have that gas go into the airbox?? Iv never really looked at a Z in a wheelie.

Is your bike a 400EX? If it is its the carb on the later models the 99 and 00 models in 01 and up you don't get that problem. My bro has a 00, and I have a 01 his pours out when he wheelies and my bike does not. I would recommend getting a stock carb off ebay from a 01 or newer, and then sell yours.

just ride faster wheelies then your front end isnt of the ground so far thus less gas wasting

Its for the over flow, there gas isnt sitting in the bottom of the bowl when your in a wheelie, and it makes its way out the over flow.

lol thats cold.
And the gas coming out is no problem. plus if you go down a road along ways and have someone light your trail that would look really tight for about 2 seconds till it caught up to you. lol. if you decide to do that get it on video so we can laugh too. No serioulsy it's nothing to worry about. I've never seen a quad that didn't leak at least a little when wheelie-ing.
