View Full Version : My dads first ride on a 450r -funny-

Well my dads boss's son just bought a brand new 450r, he had my dad put a cam,pipe,carb all your normal mods and had my dad pick them out. Well no one has ridden it at the time so they let my dad ride it first, He's 54 years old, about 240 pounds built as anything, they yell to him lets see what its got! So they grab a loader and start fooling with the dirt piles, they end up with a 30ft high jump and he hits this jump in 3rd or 4th gear and my dad goes ATLEAST 70-80ft far, when we landed he bent the axle, blew both front shocks and totaled the rear end! parts are everywhere my dad goes flying 10 fot over the bars and so on. It's sad to say but my dads more of a nut on a quad then me lol. I'm gonna put him on the banshee and let him race once or twice :D None of us or him expected him to even get as high and far as he did! we were only expecting maybe 40-50ft tops
The jump was like a step up and well he didnt make the step up, the shock mounts broke and the shocks are just laying there, they said there is parts EVERYWHERE, tire flew off, the axle is bent so bad they are going to have to cut it off.I'll have to get pictures asap! I dont know where they are going to keep it, his boss's son is PISSED but what the heck, he can get aftermarket now, if not I'll take it off his hands lol.. My dads going to help fix it and all, I have a feeling I'm going to have to help too.
Im just glad we dont have to pay for it :eek2:

from what it sounds he cased it going FAST, my dad got thrown over the bars hes a little shakie but he cant stop laughing lol. I wish I still had the cr I'd show him how to get it done right ;)
He has some bruises and a few cuts I'm happy hes not in the emergency room like he was when he flipped our 250x down a 400ft hill and wacked a tree on the way down :o

were all family, soo yeah they said they would take care of it. Its not really our responsibilty they let him ride it, its on them. A kid totaled my cr80 and I didnt make him pay. We are going to help fix it because they have no clue how to.

Maybe I could handle blown shocks and never let him ride again. I couldnt handle broken mounts though. I would be pissed.
one time some ugly girl asked me if i can gave her a ride... i told her no, and she comes again and i told some friend of mine to give her a ride......15 minuteslater i see that the girl gets down of a car , full of dirt..like her head was bleedin' and i was like...wtf??!
and then i see my friend coming with the rear axle all messed up!! and no exhaust... hehe he didnt had to pay anything cus i told him to give the ugly girl a ride...they hit a car, well. the car hit them and it got away...it wasnt on the street, it was like in the city's canyon
i dont know how to write, forgive my spelling hehe.

holy chit. i dont know, but it seems like he'd go a little farther than 80'! Thats insane.
It sounds so crazy that he didnt really crash all that bad. Hell you know as well as I do that he could've been hurt a lot worse.

stuff doesnt just snap and fall off unless it was cracked prior.....if i was the kid id tell your dad he broke he pays it off and u can have it to fix up
i dunno thats a first-2nd gear jump on mine i cant imagine its much different on a 450r..... what did he think was gonna happen in 5th?i feel bad for the poor kid who was nice enough to let him ride it....

Yeah, like orginally he was only suppose to do the table top part, but after the table top landing there was another bank, , the dirt pile is pretty tall so he thought the faster the better to make it up, but it ended up throwing it further then they thought... The kid is cooled down my dad said, My father and him are working it out now, We are going to help with it and everything soo banshee is going to have to wait a little. I noticed my dad having trouble breathing last night I'm kinda worried because hes really hard headed and doesnt like the hospital :(
The whole you break it you pay for it thing doesnt really hold around here. We all say its our responsibilty to pay because we let them ride it, they belive the same so even when we offered to help they wouldnt allow it, We are the same way so oh well. Its not like we havent tryed or offered we arent dicks at all.
