any Nextel users out there...I need a question answered...I want to buy an i530 nextel phone to replace the i205 I already have...now the rep says I have to pay for the phone...and have it activated.. and if I want the cheaper price I have to sign up for another two years....is there any way around this...like buying another phone and just putting my sim card in it .....????

You can do that but you are going to have to pay full price for te phone.

i just did that at x-mas i traded my i730 for a i860...they gave me 60$ for my 730...and then the total cost ended up bein liek 300$ but i had a 50 $ mail in rebate and the 60$ i got from my 730...that included anoter 2 year contract

Nextel bends people over on phones. If you don't sign up for another two years then you will have to pay full price for the phone. If you do pay full price then you can just swap the sim cards. I have to warn you though, an i530 is like $200 full price. For another hundred you could get a way nicer i710. I hate the nextel phones they are a rip off. That said, I have gone through 3 i530's in the last year, and that is probably the sturdiest flip phone. So if you are hard on phones, it is probably the way to go.
