ok, the shock is rebound, compression, and preload adjustable.

Compression- how stiff or soft the shock is ( bottom out resistence)

Rebound - How quick the shock returns to its normal position after being compressed

Preload- Used to adjust the ride height and can also stiffen the shock, but will cause less comfortable ride

Compression is adjusted by turning the little flathead screw on the resivor

Reboung is adjusted on the bottom of the shock, also a flathead

Preload is adjusted on top of the springs. You must loosen the top ring, then either unscrew the bottom ring (lowers ride height) or screw the bottom ring down (raises ride height).

Whatever you do, DO NOT mess with the bolt that connect the hose to the shock.

hope this helps, if you have naymore questions, ask

DO not loosen the nut around the adjustment screw. THe nut is the compression device itself if you loosen it you will lose oil out of the shock.
