uhh wouldnt fit right since the rhino lining would be thick on the frame

uhh what exactly wouldnt fit right? i would have it taped off so no rhino lining would get into where the motormounts line up or where bolts are supposed to go.

I know a guy that did it...

pro's- durable, can be fixed easy
con's- surface must be 100% prepped or it will peel off, and its a pain to clean, only way is with a pressure washer.

well your hot engine is going to be right next to it, have you talked to anyone about rhinoliners and heat?

Powdercoating isnt that expensive. If I where you I would just PC the parts you want to. Learn from my mistakes. I tried to paint my frame with POR 15(expensive paint that is suposed to be strong) This stuff is crap, self levelong my @ss. I had runs and it still chipped pretty easy. I spent under $200 and had my frame, subframe, and clutch cover PC'd (less then POR15)

yea my friend did his frame with line-x last year...worked alright but he had a lot of problems bolting parts on and in some spots it'd want to peel away. just get it powdercoated or POR15 it

I have already gone the powdercoating route (see below)

Looking to do something different and wild.

DONT USE POR15 IM SO PISSED ABOUT THIS MISTAKE. POR 15 is good on a car but round tubing you will be pissed too. I had so many runs.

if your lookin to do somethin wild go with a different color, i wouldnt mess around with the line-x stuff. plus if your frame cracks you cant even tell...

I had the plastics on my old 300 line xed, it was pretty durable, only cost 100 bucks, btw if u ever get anything sprayed get linex bc they spray it hot so it dries quick and doesnt drip like rhino.

what happens if you roll it, wouldnt the plastics crack since it drys and hardens?

No its more like a rubbery surface, it flexed with the plastics.

i was goin to do the frame of my 400 right where the foot pegs are... its stick so it will be there for grip and it won't rub off like pc...

i use rhino linears in my trucks... my silverado will have it in a week or 2!

Ledofthezep and I both had our frames painted and have held up very well. We bought the primer and paint from Oreillys, but the name of the paint slips me right now. We were put in a bind with a "buddy" that was going to get our frames powerdercoated for cheap, but pulled out at the last second so we were left with sandblasted frames and no powder! The paint has held up very well. I don't have any completed pics of my quad but here is my frame.

I think that PC is the best way to go if you decide that you want to change color you can PC over top the existing PC.

It would be a pain to keep clean with rhino liner being textured. I've seen one quad with a rhino lined frame and it looked bad (and not in a good way).

I used a similar coating on my A-arms, except this was in an areosal can and is intended to be undercoat for cars and trucks. I have about 1 1/2 tanks of gas on it and it's still holding up really good. When I preped I just sanded all the rust off and scuffed the rest. Everybody that has seen them thought that they PCed. I have also done my grab bar and footpegs. I had my brother purposely set it on the grab bar to see how well it would hold up and it didnt scratch. Im fixing to do my rear wheels also!
