It's been a long time since I've seen a 79 in nice shape. 351 modified. Keep an eye on the oil pressure. They're known for weak low ends. I had to do a crank kit in my 79 351 modified. I had a 6" lift with 35's on it. Mine was a short bed. Good luck with it.

REALLY REALLY nice truck!!!!!!!!!!
yeah i noticed the low oil pressure on it, i had a oil pressure gauge put it in so i could keep an eye on it, mine runs about 8, but i had a guy check the motor out and he sed its in good shape, im gettin it rebuild with high performance pistons and cam this winter

Cool. That will take care of the low oil pressure. Automatic or standard?

Yet another fine ford built up.. my buddy tommy built a truck much like that one. Only its blue. It took them about a year or two to do. I just saw it in its done stage in person yestarday. Except them not having the silver fender flares on it yet.. It has a built 302.

If you can I'd throw a roll bar in it, I think it would be a nice little addition. the truck looks excellent, I'd get the frame and everything painted black and enter it in some truck shows
i wan to get a roll bar in it, get some lights mounted on top of it, i have diamond plate mud flaps to put on it yet, and get my rhino lining in it, and that might be it for now, in the future i want to get an exhause system for it

I used to have a 77 But I sold it to help pay for my 400ex. I only paid 500 for it. It didnt run when I bought it so I cleaned the carb and it started right up . It had low oil pressure and I put rod and main bearings in it and it brang it back up. I also put some patch panels in it but thats about it. It had the 400m with a 4 speed, 4x4. The engine was out of a 71 car that had higher compression. The main reason I sold it was because I wouldn't of been able to afford the gas. I bought a Bronco II thats efi v6, 4x4 so it wont be as bad of a daily driver. My dad also had 71 highboy that had a built 406 out of a 62 galaxie.
that truck doesnt look bad at all, looks better then why i started with
