I'am looking to buy a Denton Rebuildable Steering Damper. Just would like some input from you guys and gals. What do you think about them? Are they worth the cash?

These things should come stock with the quad from the factory. A must have!

I agree. About the one thing I wouldn't go without. I have the PEP.

the pep has only 3 settings, while the denton has 7. the pep mounts in a more safe manner, but the denton is more easier to adjust. it just sticks out a little. i have the denton and i'm satisfied.

I have the JH Racing steering dampener that is similiar in design to the Denton and I'm pretty sure they're cheaper than the Denton if I remember correctly. It works great, 7 different settings of adjustment and you can actually feel the differenece in each setting.

Getting a steering dampener is probably one of the cheapest and most effective mods you can do to your quad. It does take some time to get used to with some people, I keep mine turned up almost all the way hard.....but I had to get used to the bars being that stiff. It paid off though because I can blitz some stuff that most people would lose it.....

Here is a pic of my dual stabilizers from Genaration X ATV. It works so much better then a single. It gets rid of the little play you get with the single one.

I have a gibson (same as a denton) and it totally saves your wrists. I keep mine adjusted in the middle, how stiff do you guys keep your stabilizers?

I have the SRP (Muscle) Dampner I got from Magic Racing, it works fine for me. I keep it cranked all the way up.

No questions.... GPR is by far the best and worth every cent. I have had all the others... I am money ahead not having to re-build (denton or gibson) every 2-3 months. Only takes 15 minutes to install..

Last year Gil Attix, Dustin Wimmer ran two stabilizers on there race quads, I asked them at Glen Helen last year about why they ran two. They told me honestly, it sells more for there sponsors!

At what point do you know its time to rebuild a damper? Do they up and quit working altogether??
