i just finished my engine and it runs hard. i used the 13:1 j.e. piston and the high end hot cam now called hte stage 3 drop in. it ofcourse must run on 110 octane. i was considering on running the 12:1 piston adn figured if i am gonna have to run race gas i might as well go as high as i can on compression. i do alot of woods riding and occassionally get involved in a drag race here and there. this thing rips. my friend has a raptor he used to see how much he could pull me to see if a mod for himself made his any faster. now we are door to door all the way out the box. i also added a duncan graphics kit and seat cover which looks great and went on rather easy. i was impressed with it. as of now it isn't running to hot but the weather hasn't warmed up yet so we will see how it likes heat. if it bolws up it is getting the 465 kit next. thanks to ART AT PRECISION POWERSPORTS FOR ALL THE HELP AND GREAT PRICING. 6364610880

What is and where did you find a stage 3 cam? You say its a hot cams but they don't list such a thing on their web site. Do you know of a site that has specks?

i know about the stage 3 it isnt a "more hardcore" cam than th old stage 2 what HOTCAMS did was bumped the stage 2 to stage 3 so its the same as a stage 2 the stage 1 is the same and they made a new "all-around" cam for the new stage 2 its a more versatile cam for all around riders and gives better power all the way through:bandit:

they have released another cam which now takes the name of the stage two, making the older stage two a stage three cam now. so if you have a stage two cam from a while ago, you can now call it the stage three. i will have some pics up in a little bit.

we have been over this a million times already. the stage 3 cam is the old stage 2 cam. they designed a new stage 2 cam that is in between the old stage 2(no known as stage 3) and the stage 1 cam.

here is where i got great prices on my parts. the owner was cool and gave me some good advise on what to do to it. he had alot of riders that helped gather the information form for dependabilty and building it for the type of riding i do. thanks ART........http://i139.exs.cx/img139/3618/1000016img69st.jpg (http://www.imageshack.us)

I was just looking at your signature an happend to see where you are running a 40 pilot. that seema kinda lean to go with a 170 main. I run a 45 pilot with a 160 main.

yeah i thought so to, but the thing was bilking black smoke on the 42 so i went back down to the 40. it seams to run fine now.
it also could be the porting. the engine is creating more velocity and runs more efficient than a stock head.
