C&D can get them. i got one and it did pick up metal shavings. however, the threads twisted on mine. it was $18 for one damn bolt and there wasn't ONE time that i didn't torque it to factory specs with a torque wrench. i need to call the company up and see if they will replace it.

That doesnt seem like something that is necessary. I mean, I guess its a good feature, but necessary? No.

$18?
You gotta be kidding me. What a joke. I dont know how, but a lot of metals can be magnetized if you have the right stuff. Maybe not the stocker one though, Im not sure.

i am not kidding you.

this one had a large magnet in it. on the package it said 5X's stronger than the normal magnetic drain plug. i ordered one for the tank too, which is 3X's stronger, and the threads didn't even match the stock bolt exactly. i sent that one back in. the one on the engine did fit properly, but the threads twisted. i would not be one bit upset but i used a torque wrench every time i changed the oil.
