I am in SC and the riding gets to be some slim pickins' when the national forests are closed....one place I haven't been in a couple of years but may be going to Friday is Sumter Manchester National Forest. It is the only forest riding area I know that has a motocross track and trails. There are a lot of new places I am finding out about and people are opening up land and charging to ride. I ride more in NC than SC or I should say I did. I have limited time for recreational riding with working a full time job that requires every other weekend and I race the Mideast series. There are places to ride but most require some driving. Sumter wouldn't be that bad of a drive for you. Last time I was there it was great. Don't know what it is like now but I might find out soon.
