I've read the threads and the faq, but I can't seem to figure this out. My bolts don't seem to be long enough to go through the peg, through the spacer, and into the motor mount. All 4 of my spacers are the same size, but in my directions, it looks like 2 of them should be shorter. If they were shorter, it would fit. Did I get hosed by the packing guy or am I doing something wrong?

I just installed mine last night. There are 2 bolts that dont have threads all the way to the head, those are the ones that go to the moter mount. now i got a question, areyou suppost to cut the bottom of the rear fenders? For the heel plates! or let the plastic rub?

I think mines all goofed up. I have like 5 with the collars (threads not all the way up). 2 of the bolts are the same size, I think they call them 45mm, but 1 has a collar and one has threads all the way. Talk about goofey. Were all 4 of your spacers the same size RIKR?

Yes mine were all the same size! Are you going to cut your plastic at the bottom?

Hey RIKR, I've not gotten that far, not sure what I have to do. I didn't think you had to cut your plastic, but I may be wrong. I talked to AC today, sounds like I got the wrong parts pack. They are sending me the correct one. In the mean time, I went to the hardware store and bought some bolts. I'm going to see if they work...I'll let you know on the plastic cutting thing.

See ya,
Jason.

RIKR, not sure where you are talking about as far as cutting your fenders. Here is a picture, this is as close as my fender comes...

Here's a pic of one side nearly done...I need to bolt the kick gaurd to the foot peg and bolt the foot peg to the frame peg...

Then I'll be done :)

The other side is a different story. I had a bolt breakoff inside the frame. I need to get an EZ-out tool or something to get that thing out of there before I can finish that side...

I cut mine because it rubbed a flat spot in the aluminum heel guards. I looks ten times better now as well.

Hey guys i was wondering if with those pro pegs they actually drop the original foot peg a little like the old dg pro peg did. Is it in the same place.

Do you have to drill holes for bolts or modify stuff to put them on or do they bolt on without any permanent alterations.

I think you could actually get by without drilling any holes. However, there are a few drillings that could improve the overall stability of the pegs. One drill will hold the heal kicks in place, an d the other would bolt the nerfs to the mounting pegs in order to keep them nice and snug...

Bet I think you could go without any drilling. I've not done the drilling on mine yet, but I plan too...

I just put my Pro Pegs on Friday night. They look good when they are done. As for drilling holes, you do not need to drill any holes into the atv or any original parts. If you choose to mount the heel kicks (like I did), you have to drill holes in the pegs and into the heel kicks. It is also a good idea to drill a hole in the nerfs at the foot grips onto the mounting pegs for added stability. I drilled a small hole and screwed a self tapping screw down into it. Made it real sold at the pegs.

One thing about installing Pro Pegs, you feel like you did something when you are donr. It is a little of a challenge.

Does anyone know if the AC propeg nerfs for the 250r have the plate that is behind the peg? I have been looking for nerfs that have a guard like those do. They look very nice.
