something like a recon or woods atv maybe a 300ex just want something reliable and fun

Good luck. Your only going to get a junker for that cheap. If you want a decent 250 or 300cc play quad expect to pay atleast $1200. Being realistic I'd expect to pay between $1500-$2000 for a decent condition 250x or 300ex.
