Round One - Rockhouse - Morganton,NC

Round One of the Mid East Series got under way at the Rockhouse track in Morganton, NC on March 20th.
This was the largest Quad turn out the Mid East has ever had -so that meant, I had twice the amount of work I have ever had!!!!
Here are some of the Pro Riders.
#1 Mike Houston, the 2004 Mid East Overall Champion.

#2 this year is Santo DeRisi. DeRisi was the Overall Champion of the Mid East for nearly five years now, so he will be fighting to take back the Championship.

Wyatt is also racing in the Pro Am class in the GNCC's so watch for him to be stiff competition.

Billy Good, the GNCC Sport Class rider that has been taking the a.m. races by storm showed up for some practice in the Pro Class.

Ten seconds was called, the green flag went up and Santo DeRisi pulled the holeshot with Mike Houston right on his rear tires.

Lap one - Santo DeRisi was out front with Mike Houston on his rear tires.

The A Class start
Will Cashion in the middle gets an excellent start.

Mike Houston took over the lead on lap two where stayed out front till the white flag lap.
DeRisi took the lead - to go on with the win.

Our next race is April 10th at Parker Valley in Belwood, NC.
Come out to join in on the action - and more pictures then when things won't be so crazy.

Hey gump , I had a rider break down in front of me with no way to get around him , so I had to help push him up a small hill , that took a good 3 to 5 minutes, had it not been for that , I would have finished well into the top 10 and not 13th in the seniors class , but thats racing , just proud to have finished with no problems other than that . see ya at the races.

I wasnt trying to be a smart mouth or dis re speckin . that was the first race that I have ran since 98 , just excited to finish . I am looking forward to running a few more this season , and hope that I can do as well or better . by the way , my name is Andy,
from Norwood NC. , close to lake tillery , if you have heard of it. I am 39 , 235lbs. @6ft. , so you know it was ruff on my big *** ,took a week to get my back straightend out , but still had a blast.

now that the smack talk is over, big congrats to robinson for his 4th place finish at steele creek... atta boy jeff !!!! not bad for a gncc.. my hero barry rhames had some bad luck at the creek, but should be ready for PV..

Eddy once told me to make no mistakes. Here is me on the table top looks pretty good to me. Eddy give me hec the last two weeks it payback time.
