I really dont see how, if you put more thought into your bike than somone else did, then i see the best bike winning.. remember the whole deal is "bling" factor, if you have more "bling" than the guy with a 450r, then why wouldnt you come out on top?

I think you should stick with the original idea of classes, if they complain well they don't have to be in the comp. Like roostin dale said it won't be fair for the smaller quads.

I like the original idea better also. Its more fair because people can lie how much they spent and I would be in the rich class and my bike really aint top notch could be a lot better ya know. I'd go back to original way you planned!

Yea keep it the way it was before. Don't let the little 12 year olds who complaine about the elkas bother you. It is pureley a looks contest. I have works front shocks, and a stock rear shock, but I know that they look way better than elkas or TCS or PEP shocks, because the springs are powdercoated to match, or chromed, there has been some painting, and polishing. So tell them to F-off, if they wanted to they could have thier stock shocks look better than elkas.

you are right, there is one more quad in this build off that was in the build off of the year. ( don't remember the name ).

BUT mxjunkie told us in the start that we could still be in, The quads where only finished a couple weeks before the start of this one. And this is a poorman build off, and I am a poor man:D , my bike might look expencive but it really isn't.

O well my babys a little crippled still :o but hell its better then it was before. I got the frame stright I swear the aarms bent but who knows its probaly all bent still lol. that and my bumper I had to modify it cause the one tube has a ding right where the thing bolts soo its a little cocked to one side, I had to modify some stuff but hell it works so who cares ;)

Also I havent even touched the tierods yet, they adjusted them when they wrecked it so it would go stright, so everything is out of wack there, I'll get it all done eventually

Josh has gone over this before. It is still ok to have that, mabey he got it used for one grand. Mabey not. Ether way it's up to josh, let him deal with it, he is doing a good job. And shure it has elka's but where is all the custom work that comes into play with this contest, and the stuff to make it look trick. The rear shock and swingarm is stock, and there is little to no powdercoating on it. Not to be dissin' on the quad, it is very nice, but come on people.

The rules changed because of the class's and such so its ALL FAIR! and when I posted that I ment I didnt want something like say pappys 450r, just because they have elkas DOESNT MEAN YOU CANT BEAT THEM IF YOUR RIDE LOOKS BETTER. Looks will overcome elkas and what ever else.

It is a poor build off FYI, I have a budget section for each class then a UNLIMTED section, its still poor we're all kids and we work for our stuff, its not like we have 20,000 in our quads. many went with frontends, shocks, I went with painting etc.

the Budget was mainly do little things with a small budget and if yours looks better you win its all equal and all poor in its ways.

some spent 50 bucks, some spent 5,000 they arent in the same group. so whats the big deal? you make it sound like I havent covered it all and that no one has a chance, I made it so everyone has a chance.

Here is a good example of how you don't need that big of a budget to make your quad look good. These are works shocks, I had the springs powdercoated, and then I polished the whole shock. Even though they are a much cheaper shock IMO they look better than elkas.

Thanks! My seat originally had a nice rip in the seat cover and the sides of the seat had chucks of foam about to rip off. I gave it to my mom's friend who does upholstery work. He made both sides of the seat even and installed my gripper seat for free. I was pretty happy with the job he did! I got the seat off rockymountatv for $50. It grips really nice!

Hey it was awesome doing something like this, but the sad thing is, I can allready see about 2 new build offs, its going to kinda ruin it :ermm: :scary:
