How much would you pay for this? Its an 03 model, but looks brand new. It was traded in at the begining of last year so it wasnt that old when it came into the dealer.http://www.geocities.com/jjohnst03/400ex

its very clean to be an 03. The guy says it was owned by a guy in his 40's. I gave it a little ride down the rode and it sounded fine and rode like any other EX I have been on. I am supposed to find out if I can get the money tomorrow. If not then maybe he will still have it in a few weeks.

pro cycle sports in springfield. i think its part of a chain. they r really cheap with no sales tax :eek2: . go to www.procycleusa.com or you can go to http://www.procycleusa.com/index.cfm?page=newvehicles&manid=1&catid=21&baseid=303 to see the bike itself.

I found it after I asked last night. The store in springfield doesnt sell suzuki! I would go for a Z for their price, but I live in southeast arkansas so it would be quite a drive up to the other store.

The sales tax thing is starting to get on my nerves. lol
I have some dealers say "no you dont have to pay sales tax on an out of state purchase." Then some dealers say that you do have to. Then I called the revenue office and they said anything over $2500 has to have sales tax payed on it whether its bought out of state or not. I wish I could go pay cash for it, but I have to finance so there will be a paper trail.

Just cause you get a loan dont mean you have to title it. I bought a 05 ex and never titled it and I got a loan.

You should get a title with anything like that you buy. Thats how you prove its yours and that you payed for it. Anytime you go to sell a bike the buyer will want a title. And every bank or credit union that I have dealt with in the past holds the title until the bike is payed for. Things may be different where you live, but around here you dont choose to get a title for a quad. You get one....period.

Things are DIFFERNET where you live. I still have a title, its just not in my name. I got the title app. just never went to get it. I dont want to pay taxes twice on something if I can get by with it.

well I tried not to pay sales tax on my first quad and about 6 months after I had it they sent me a letter that pretty much said pay them or we are coming to get it. I wasnt holding the title at the time. The credit union had it since I owed them money on it.

I want to again thank you for posting the price and stuff that you payed for an 04. I started calling around after I checked with pro cycle. I found a dealer in forest city that gave me a great deal. They ordered me a yellow 04 from the warehouse and I got it for $4100. I couldnt have gone to springfeild for $200 so I saved some money. It was $4421 total with taxes and fees. The dealer said the bike should be put on a truck this weekend and start heading this way. I may get it by next week, but if not sometime the week after next for sure.

anyways....thanks for posting!

in texas you can claim it as "farm use" and pay no tax what so ever. that is what i did you just have to tell them that you have land. in your family or whatever they wont check it out it probably is different in texas though. might be worth a try

its not the same here. You have to have farm names and tax numbers to write it off of your taxes and get out of sales tax. I dont think that $4421 was bad including sales tax.
