Has anyone used the Rocky Mountain ATV Tusk Clutch kit yet to replace there old clutches?
I usually just get Honda friction discs and plates, but I'm a little short on cash right now.
The tusk kit is really cheap and comes with fibers and plates, I just wanted someones opinion. I could buy 3 sets from Rocky Mountian vs. one set from Honda.
I'm just scared of buying total junk.
Thanks in advance.

I replaced mine at the end of last year and the Tusk ones were out of stock so I went with the Barnett for $110 with heavy duty springs. For the $ it would be worth a try but it would suck to have to redo the clutch again or get stranded in the near future.

I wouldn't be afraid to use them.

i used the TUSK clutch kit w/ heavy duty EBC springs in my 400ex for about 5 months before I sold it and it worked flawlessly....Highly reccommend them...do they make them now for our TRX450r's?

yes they do, thanks for your info guys I figure for being that cheap if they last a month and fail it is a lesson well learned. But if they last a 6 months to a year I am ahead of the game.
Thanks again

i used one extra fiber disc by removing the judder/seat clutch spring and installing a stiffer set of barnett springs.

the combo of the extra fiber and stiffer springs. works great!

hope this helps

chad, so you are running 9 clutch plates now?
