View Full Version : Friends 04 Crank Siezed, Parts Info Please!!!

Hi fellas, my neighbor has an 04 450. He seems to enjoy road riding and will hold it at WOT for miles. Imagine that over the weekend his crank began to seize. It was still running, but it has a real bad tight spot in the rod bearing. So anyways, he wants to get that problem taken care of but also thought about getting different cams and is going to bore it as well.

Any suggestions for a decent all around cam, and hi-comp. piston. Also, are there any other crankshaft options out there, to replace the stocker? Possible even strokers?

Get the WR crank kit. Comes with the crank, 12:1 piston and everything you need, just drop it in and go.

Yes def go with the wr crank kit, I can't believe how torquey it is now with that done. Very simple to install too.

Over the winter I rode a yfz 505 with an aftermarket crank... It was at East Coast. one of Wimmers old race bikes that they rebuilt and had forsale... Dave Gibson there at East Coast built a few of the 505's!!!!!!!!!!


It ripped!!!!!!:blah:
