400ex carm on a stock 300ex?

I was wondering if I could put a 400ex stock carb on my 300ex without changing anything else,all i have is a pipe and k&n filter..and what jetting would be good for the carburater?..thanks,neil

i dont know if it is true but i heard that with a stock motor a 400 carb would hurt more than help

Its true, it will not do any good. If your engine had modifications, it would actually help. It doesnt need that much air on a stock 300ex.

you will notice a good increase on top end, but with a stock 300ex, you will lose to much low end for it to be considered a 'good mod' get a piston, cam, exhaust and then you're cookin with gas ;)
