Ok my 400ex would not start today. well actually it started for a bit but the died I could get it to start as long as I was half throttle or more but it won't idle. I want to clean the carb and see if this helps what do I need to do? Any other suggestions would be helpful. I know I need to adjust the idle screw as well but I am not sure how to go about this.

sounds like a plugged pilot jet to me:ermm:

How do you unplug the pilot jet?

pull your carb. and take a air compresser and plow then out

I would clean the carb, and change the plug. And hopefully that fixes it.
