Painting plastics?

Has anyone used krylon paint for plastics? I'm running really low on money and i would like to paint my plastics, and lay out flames.

i painted an old set of 400 plastics with duplicolor car paint worked great has not chiped yet. i had to do alot of prep work to get it to work good. if you want it to hold up you gotta wet sand it real good and i also used primer too. and the after the base coat dried for 2 days i put 3 or 4 coats of clear on it. looked pretty good

mine turned out TERRIBLE, but i didnt apply ANY kind of prep work, so i guess im to blame.. i've heard good and bad stories.. im just another bad one
