Cutting stock exhaust?

I've got a HMF quiet Race series but I just want more bottom end... but I need my yfz to be quiet for some races

If I gutted everything out of my stock silencer and made it really short (like the TC shorty) Would I gain a lot of bottom end? Or just be really loud? thanks for the imput

you couldcut it shorter for more low end BUT dont gut it,you'll need packing in there.the motor needs some back pressure

Personally I wouldn't even waste the time with the stock exhaust.
