Grab Bar/Rear Bumper ??

I bought a dg grab bar off e-bay and i just recieved it today. Anyways after hours of sanding and polishing to make it look new i went to install it and it didn't fit. Were the bumper mounts diffrent for diffrent years??

Yeah the bolt holes for yours will be closer together, as compared to an 86-87.
