I personally would get the 05TLD. Mostly with reverse and the new shocks. But that is me.:D

I also would go for the 05 TLD. The 04 is good but the 05 is better.

That's kind of what i'm leaning towards.
What are some fairly cheap mods? How well do they wake up to a pipe/filter?.I see people are putting on 450r carbs.
Will they put out over 40hp with pipe/filter?

Thanks

My brothers 04 Pred with just the Pure Polaris pipe and a cfm airbox with the lid on dyno'ed just below 40rwhp. With the lid off and more jetting he would most likely get around 42rwhp. The same place he had it dyno'ed had stock YFZ'z dynoing at 34rwhp. A stock z-400 came in at 27rwhp.

The only down side to the 05's that I've seen is they don't have an aftermarket CDI out yet!

Thanks go for the 04 your savin a lot of money which can be put into mods, reverse on a sport bike, if u cant get ur lazy *** off to turn it around then u shouldnt be riding it thats my opinion....ive heard bad reports of the TLD's new tranny with the closer ratios because there is a large gap between 4th and 5th.....i personaly have not gotten one opened up yet because theres been too much snow but soon i will be able too:D my opinion is go for the 04 you can add rezzies to it and you dont really need reverse so take the grand your saving and pick up some better mods:cool:

I have to agree with TLD03. For the savings of the 04 you can add alot of goodies to it. Reverse means failure IMO. Think about everytime you needed or had to use it, you've messed up and can't ride out of it.

Take the 04 and add everything you've always wanted.

I believe he's referring to the Cdi's between the two years. ;)

Well i will be picking the 05' up this weekend.I've never ridden one but the ergo's seem very nice, plus i like the color.:) The shocks are a pretty nice and the tranny will probably suite me better.
Prices on parts are pricey though,i think they said steering knuckles are like $180.I'm use to honda prices.
Anybody looking for front and rear hubs,i may get the pure polaris setup.

You won't be disappointed in your purchase. I really like the Predator. Partly for the perfomance and partly for the dealership I bought it from. I get good support and the quad runs great. There are a few ergo improvements that are on the 05 but either way at the price you paid....it was a bargain.
