Is there a break in period for a yfz450? I know there is one for 2 strokes but im not sure about 4 stokes

Follow this advice and break it in like you are going to ride it. Thats what I did and it was perfect when I rebuilt it this winter...rings were seated well.

Yeah, everyone says you should ride like a weiner for the first 10 hours or so, but I don't think that works. From what I've seen, every bike that is broken in hard and fast runs better than those that are pussied at first, but this is just my personal experience... Break it in how you will ride it...

i did that off that page and mines a monster compared to the identical bike that was weinered when broken in
