Anybody ever seen a nitromethane powered 400EX?? Do you think a motor would hold up to it??

after driving a fuel car and designing cams for them rember one thing about nitro, compresion is what sets it off. And nitro is a heavy slow burnining fuel and it loves to eat exhaust valves because it gets them so hot and spring pressures on the exhaust is very important does not take much and the intake ramp need to be slow opening. Be careful and experment slowley with nitro until you learn some things about it. Air temp and barometric pressure is very important when burning nitro,

I failed to mention early there is a safer alternative to the engine as far as holding up and that is (PO) proyplene oxide its just not very good for humans to breath. Does not take much and works wonders when its very hot outside mixture is very important, no matter how you mix it you will not blow the engine.
