400ex carb

Well I finally found a 400ex carb that I can afford! I need some pointers now.

- I should start with a 42 pilot, right?

- I'm running a 138 main, in my stock carb, I should probably try a 145 in the 400 carb?

- I've heard that the stock cable will work, is this true?

- I'm not getting a 350x intake boot right away, do you think that I should reconsider this decision? (gonna see if the carb will work w/o it)

I think you'll need a 150-155 main jet. 42 pilot/slow jet sounds about right. Not familiar with the cable or boot issues.

i have a 165 main jet with a 42 pilot jet and mine runs good. I also have the choke removed.
