Hi guys,
I CAN NOT figure this out. I had my frame painted andI have my 400ex completley put back together. I never tourched the engine as far as tinkering with it, that is al stock. I hit the sarter button and you can hear the starter kick on, but nothing inside the engine takes place? I took the cover off the starter gears, and that is all working, but it just isn't engaging somehwere in the engine like it should? Any comments? Anything will help, thanks a ton!!

the baring wasnt exspensive it was the labor that brought the price up

where is that bearing at? i have been told it is the sprag clutch that can cause this. this is mounted on the back of the flywheel for you that want to know its location.

Mustang400EX, If your starter circuit operated properly before your paint job, you might try looking into the ground circuit for excessive voltage drop. If you dont have a good meter, I would suggest removing all the ground cables and making sure you dont have paint under your ground cables, these areas need to be bare metal to ensure a good ground path....Tech23
