Heat Shields

Im noticing on alot of the aftermarket pipe pics you never see any heatshields on. Its seems the pipes like Rossier and Sparks have a larger bend coming from the head.
So has this caused any problems for anyone yet? Anyone melting pants or boots?

My friend has this 440ex with I think a DMC header, not sure I know the silencer is. Anyway, every pair of riding pants he has has a hole in the right side leg where the header is. He told me he wishes the thing had mounting points for one.

I have Sparks exhaust with the factory heat shield on. Just remove the 3 hose clamps and put them on your aftermarket headpipe. The shield fits pretty good. Check it out.
