250 x rebuild wont run

Help , just put a 250x back together and I cant get it to run, checked the gas tank gas is flowing to carb, checked the plug it is showing spark, could the carb its self not let it run, ask like its trying to run but won't fire up totally, even when I push the throttle it does even try to take off............. lost and need help......... everything on this rebuild has gone well up til now and I am stuck ....... Does the spark plug get wet when you try and start it?

If the plugs not wet, than somethigns stoping it from getting to the sparkplug.

If it is wet, and still not starting. Get a new plug, and try 'bump' starting it. Tie it behind a car or truck, won't cure your problem but, if shes gonna start, you'll find out for sure.

Oh ya but before all that, you got compression right?

There nothing blocking the air intake is there? (like a rag? been there, done that:) )
