installed carb ran good yesterday, now this evening it won't run unless i give it gas and feather it, as soon as i let off it dies??? Anyone have any ideas of why? Could it be the jetting or could it be fouling plug, please help....

have you done any motor work?cam, porting exhaust? what made you want a bigger carb because i read this question to atv sport mag and he replied to someone that its not good if you hav'nt done lots of motor work. too much airflow.

how do you have the airboot coming from the air filter connected to the back of the carb, if you need a way here is what i can make for $30 plus shipping http://www.trx450r.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=4231

I appreciate the offer, but i figured out what it was, the choke was pinching the gas line off, so i trimed the choke back a little more, now works fine....

i hope thats a 450r carb from the bike and NOT the quad.if im not mistaken doesnt the quad have the cv carb?those carbs are for utility quads and enduro bikes,i would think the stock 400ex carb with the accel pump would be superior.

The 450r carb is basically the same as the ex carb, except for the TPS and it being 42mm. It does have an accelerator pump, as do the carbs on almost every four stroke engine.
